denyse schmidt is acclaimed for her strikingly modern interpretations of traditional quilt patterns. spend an afternoon learning her intuitive method of quilt making while building a foundation for bringing your individual style to future quilt designs. some sewing machine experience is helpful, but not necessary. let us know if you don't own your own machine and we will rent one for you and bring it to class. (add. $20 fee.) class limited in size; please sign up early!

supply list:

  • sewing machine (please email us at least a week before class if you need to rent a machine; a $20 fee)
  • spool of all-purpose thread (any color will be fine!)
  • cutting mat (gridded, appox 18" x 24")
  • rotary cutter (if you already own one, make sure the blade isn't dull)
  • scissors or snips for cutting thread
  • 1/4 yard of your favorite fabric (light- to medium-weight cotton)
  • clear plastic grided ruler to use with your rotary cutter
  • a packed lunch and snacks to keep you going the day of class!
